Meet the Coaches

Jules Raucci, General Manager/Coach

Jules is a Delaware County native and co-founder of the Delco Goats.  He was a graduate of Academy Park High School and coaches 7th grade girls AAU.  He has been an area official for 15 years.  Jules is excited to continue to build the Delco Goats program into an area leader in player growth and development. 

Lauren Stackhouse, Coach

Lauren Stackhouse (Snyder) began her high school ball at Upper Merion in King of Prussia, PA.  She played her college basketball at Delaware Valley University where she was a 4 year starter.  She ended her career with 1,185 points.  Standing at only 5'6" tall Lauren broke the school's rebounding record, ending her career with 951 rebounds. She was 1st Team All-Conference two times in her career and an Academic All-American her senior year. In October 2015, she was inducted into the hall of fame at Delaware Valley.  She is currently a teacher in the Avon Grove SD and has been a coach at Downingtown East H.S. for the last 4 years. 

Tina Nicholson, Coach

Tina Nicholson is a Downingtown basketball legend and former WNBA player (Cleveland Rockers - '97).  Tina played her high school ball at Downingtown H.S. (1988-1992) where she scored 2,709 points in her career.  She went to play Division I basketball at Penn State University, where she was a 2-time, 1st team All Big Ten player.  She was then drafted by the Cleveland Rockers in 1997.  Tina is also a member of the Chester County Sports Hall of Fame.  She is currently coaching at Downingtown East HS since 2000 and has coached boys AAU for the Heat for the last 3 years.

Jim Falcone, Coach

Jim Falcone began his basketball career at Ridley HS.  In 1987 Jim was All-Central League, and All-Delco.  He was also 3rd team All-Area.  He went on to play his college ball at West Chester University.  He is formerly the head coach at Delaware County Community College and coached AAU basketball for 9 years.Jim currently resides in Garnet Valley, PA.

Tom Gormley, Coach

Tom played his high school basketball at Bonner where they won the Catholic League Championships in 1983.  He continued his playing days at Loyola where he still holds the record for steals and 3 point shooting percentage.  He started all 115 games and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1995.  He coached ChiChester travel ball for 6 years and refs at BYC.

Ashley Weigand, Coach

Ashley Weigand (Norris) played her high school at Tyrone Area HS in Tyrone, PA finishing with 1,374 points and league MVP.  She continued her college career at Boston University where she was a 3 year starter.  Ashley still holds the BU season record for 3 point percentage (48.0) and ranks 9th in career free throw shooting.  She was on the American East Academic Honor Roll for four years.  Ashley is a marketing director in the pharmaceutical industry and currently resides in Wilmington, DE.  She coaches at the St. Mary Magdalen School.

Amanda Boylan, Coach

Amanda brings a variety of coaching experience to the program.  She began playing basketball when she was young and continued through high school at Archbishop Prendergast.  After completing her playing career, she began as the assistant basketball coach for 7th & 8th grade girls for St. Charles CYO.  For the last 8 years, Amanda has coached 8th grade field hockey, 7th grade basketball and track & field for Fred S. Engle Middle School in the Avon Grove School District.

Kristen Port, Coach

Kristen Port is a former Haverford High School basketball standout.  Known for her shooting talent, Kristen played collegiately at West Chester University.  Kristen started her coaching career at a young age, as an AAU coach for the Delmont Blaze.  Her teams were high scoring with a run and gun mentality.  After bringing a team to the AAU nationals with the Blaze, Kristen started her own AAU organization, The Delco Xtreme.  Kristen was also the head coach at Penncrest High School in Meda, PA.  Kristen helped turn the Lions into a contender while being the youngest coach in the Central League.  She stepped away from coaching HS at it's peak to start a family.  She currently resides in Garnet Valley, PA and has three children Lyla, JJ and Landon.

Ryan Brown, Coach

Ryan is a HS graduate of Salesianum in Delaware where he played 3 years of varsity basketball.  He then went on to West Chester University.  He has been the varsity assistant coach at Garnet Valley High School for 7 years.  

Mike Louden, Coach

Mike played his high school ball at O'Hara where he was 2nd team All Catholic and 2nd team All Delco.  He went on to receive a full scholarship to Philadelphia University where he was a team captain.  He is currently in his 2nd year as the assistant coach at Garnet Valley High School.  

Rick Colvin, Coach

Rick Colvin has been coaching basketball for 14 years.  He started out at Malvern Prep where he coached the JV team and assisted on Varsity for 9 years, where they won the Inter-AC championship for the first time in 40 years.  He then moved to Neumann University where he has been an assistant on the men's team since 2013.  In those 5 years, he has helped turn Neumann Univ. into a perennial championship contender with 2 conference championships and 3 trips to the NCAA tournament in 5 years.  He also coaches CYO 5th & 6th grade boys basketball at St. Thomas the Apostle in Glen Mills.  When he's not coaching, Rick is the president of Info-Graphix Systems, Inc., selling promotional products. He lives in Aston with his wife and 3 basketball playing children.

Mike Koperna, Coach

Mike Koperna has been engulfed in basketball both as a player and coach for over 37 years.  Mike began his career at St. Hedwig's parish in Chester, holding a scoring title of over 1,000 points.  Mike played for St. James High School in Chester and was named the team captain.  He went on to play at Penn State - Brandywine, where he was fortunate to play with great teammates who truly embraced the concept of team basketball.  In his final season, Mike was named team captain and they finished the season with a record of 25-0.  During his tenure, Mike capitalized on the knowledge and experience he gained as a player and has translated that into coaching.  To date, Mike has coached youth basketball for over 9 years for kids ages 5 through 15. 

Mike's playing and experience makes him one of the most qualified personal skills coaches in the area.  His true passion is bringing out the best in each individual to collectively win as a team.

Vince Mostardi, Coach

Vince is a Delaware County native and graduate of Archbishop John Carroll High School, where he played under coach Paul Romanczuk.  He was a 4-year member of the Penn State Brandywine's basketball team, where he was part of a recruiting class that helped turn around a program from a 1-win season the year prior, to a playoff berth and a final four appearance in the PSUAC.  After graduating in 2015, he continued to stay involved with basketball as the head coach of Archbishop Carroll and Devon Preparatory's Freshman Boy's basketball teams in consecutive seasons.  He then coached grades 7 through 9 for the East Coast Powers AAU program for the past 3 seasons.  He currently is a teacher at Universal Daroff Charter School in West Philadelphia.
